Join the Chamber on a tour of the future commuter train between Salinas and San Jose. We will meet at the Salinas Amtrak Station at 7:15am for a bus ride to Diridon Station in San Jose. We will return to Salinas via The Amtrak Coast Starlite for a walking tour of the future Salinas Intermodal Station will follow.

The Startup Challenge Monterey Bay 2018 @ BIT Building- California State University Monterey Bay

Startup Challenge Monterey Bay is a regional new business competition and acceleration program for entrepreneurs in Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties.  The Challenge is held annually, organized by a team of community volunteers and hosted by the Institute for Innovation and Economic Development of CSU, Monterey Bay. It is a competitive acceleration process that teaches, coaches, mentors, networks, and connects entrepreneurs to the knowledge and resources they need. Prospective entrepreneurs, start-ups and emerging companies showcase and develop their business concepts while competing for prizes. The Challenge provides workshops and mentoring to support the founding, funding and growth of new and innovative businesses in the Monterey Bay region. Salinas Valley AgTech Summit 2018 @ Hartnell- Main Campus

The event is hosted by the Agricultural Business and Technology Institute at Hartnell College in collaboration with the Monterey Bay Chapter of the CA Association of Pest Control Advisors (CAPCA). Guests will enjoy a wide variety of speakers and panel presentations on the topics of crop protection, the future of farming, automation, harvest technology, innovation, worker safety and regulations. There will be an expanded exhibition, demonstrations and much much more.
