America’s Competitive Exchange
The upcoming Americas Competitive Exchange (ACE) 10 Tour is an exciting opportunity to showcase the best of the innovation and entrepreneurship economy in the Monterey Bay region. Arriving in Monterey on Oct 23, 2018, this program is facilitated at the Federal level by the Department of Commerce, Department of State, Economic Development Administration, Inter-American Competitiveness Network (RIAC) and Organization of American States – providing top-level contacts from international trading partners, and here in California by the University of California, with representation from each of the regional tour stops (Central Coast Marketing Team is playing a big role locally).
Past delegations have included high-level ministers from a wide variety of US trading partner countries:
We expect a similar or higher level of participation for the ACE 10 Tour, that focuses on Northern California’s Innovation Economy and connecting delegates with business, policy and program opportunities.
While the local itinerary has been in development for many months, we have picked up a coordinating role following the recent departure of the Monterey County Economic Development Director.
Current plans have the delegation arriving in Monterey the evening of October 22, after a full day from San Francisco, through Silicon Valley, and a stop at UC Santa Cruz. Beginning early the next morning they will go to Salinas for presentations on the #agtech economy, tours of fresh produce facilities, and lunch at a winery. This will be followed by a visit and tour at Hartnell College, then returning to the Peninsula for an evening walk-around dinner event at the Monterey Aquarium.
There are limited sponsorship opportunities to help defray the hosting expenses. The Central Coast Marketing Team is offering $1k and $2500 sponsorship opportunities. Each $1k sponsorship provides 1-ticket to the event and brand exposure on local printed collateral. Sponsorship of $2500 provide 2-event tickets plus premier brand exposure.
