Big Sur Foragers Festival @ Big Sur, CA

The historic Big Sur River Inn serves as the host and backdrop of one of the Big Sur Foragers Festival’s most popular events, the “Fungus Face-Off,” set for Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019. The Face-Off at the River Inn, set under the oaks overlooking the Big Sur River, features celebrated local chefs competing for the best foraged dish, and will include food tastings, fine wines, craft beers, raffles, a silent auction and more.

Other events inlcude winemaker’s dinners, foraging walks and a Sunday Brunch.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a 72-hole PGA TOUR golf championship dating back to the 1930’s when Bing Crosby gathered a few friends to raise money for charity… and have a little fun. Top Tour professionals team with Hollywood celebrities, world renowned musicians and the captains of industry as they compete for a $6.1 million purse. Foursomes rotate to MPCC Shore Course, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links Thursday through Saturday.

Twilight Cycling Ride at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca

What cyclist wouldn’t enjoy the thrill of a challenging 300-foot climb followed by an awe-inspiring descent? How about the fact that they can do this on a world-renowned race track?

Monthly twilight rides allow cyclists of all ages to experience the excitement of pedaling WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s 11-turn, 2.238-mile course. The ride is highlighted by the legendary Corkscrew that drops an equivalent of 5 1/2 stories. Rides run from 5:30-7:30 p.m (5-7 p.m. from November through March). and are open to all levels of cyclists. Helmets are required and the cost is only $10 per rider.

Each month is hosted by a different local bicycle club, organization or business, some holding competitions such as time trials or criterium races and many with off-track activities such as barbecue dinners, costume contests and giveaways.
