Positive stress

It can be positive when you avoid a dangerous situation or harmful things due to stress.

Negative stress

It will be negative when having this will interfere with your daily life activities and performance. It can be caused by anything, through your thoughts or perceptions, and through your external environment.

What happens in the body during stress?

When you are aroused by stress, the brain releases two hormones, which are

  1. Cortisol
  2. Adrenaline

These two hormones work with increasing your stress level. Apart from this, there are many other stress hormones too. The increase in these hormones can cause your body to show the following signs and symptoms.

  • Increase in blood pressure.
  • Increased heartbeat.
  • Sharpen senses.
  • Muscles tighten.
  • Fast breathing.
  • Feelings of overwhelmed.
